5 Simple Ways to Get Glowing Skin Now
From creating a radiant, natural glow to eliminating dullness and fine lines, consider the following tips to getting a crystal-clear complexion from JAQUA Bath and Body's beauty expert.
You don't need to spend a lot of time at the spa or change your entire beauty routine to get glowing skin, but rather just make a few small adjustments. Here, we share our top five tips so you can have perfect skin all year long.
1). Getting Enough Restful Sleep
Unless you have an army of makeup artists and estheticians on staff, it's difficult to look rested and fresh in the morning when you don't get a full night of Zs. To make sure your skin glows, strive to get at least seven hours of sleep every night.
2). Picking the Right Bronzer for Your Skin Tone and Texture
We all want that sun-kissed glow without spending hours in the sun's harmful UV rays. And the best way to get that look is to use a bronzer that's only two shades darker than our natural skin tone. If you use bronzer that’s too light or too dark, it will look fake.
We recommend using a powder-based bronzer with a very light shimmer to get that extra radiance. Just be careful not to pick one with too much shimmer as it will make your skin look oily and greasy.
3). Applying Sunscreen Often Enough
Break out the sunscreen that's been in hiding since last season. We all know that we're supposed to wear sunscreen year-round, but when we haven't seen the sun in a few days or weeks, it's easy to forget.
Make sure to wear a sunblock that contains an SPF of 30 or higher. For maximum UV protection, be sure to reapply every few hours - or more frequently if you go in the water or work up a sweat.
4). Exfoliating to Get Smooth Skin
If you want clear and radiant skin year-round, then you'll need a regular exfoliation routine. To jump start your skincare regimen now, begin with our signature Buttercream Frosting hand-whipped organic sugar cream scrub.
Its fine grain, organic cane sugar will brighten up even the dullest complexion while the organic coconut oil will moisturize the skin to give you a perfectly radiant glow every time! This nourishing formula can also be used as a light lip scrub.
5). Exercising Enough Daily
If you're not exercising, start now!
Dr. Ellen Marmur, a leading dermatologist and associate professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine says, “A bout of exercise helps flush cellular debris out of the system. You can think of it as cleansing your skin from the inside."
Authors Genie James MMSc and Dr. C.W. Randolph Jr., agree, nothing “When you exercise, your skin begins to produce more of its natural oils, which helps skin look supple and healthy.”
You should try to get at least 30 minutes of physical activity five days a week to get glowing skin.
